In short
8MM is a tool for making films with AI. To work, it needs three things from you: an email address to recognise you, whatever you write and upload to make your films, and the files that come out. Nothing else.
We don’t sell your data to anyone. We don’t use it to train models. We don’t follow you around other sites: there is no advertising pixel on this page.
What we collect
- Your email address — the only personal detail we ask for. It lets you sign in and lets us write to you if something breaks.
- What you create — briefs, scripts, cast sheets, uploaded images and videos, and the films that come out. They are yours: we keep them so you can find them again.
- The credit ledger — what you bought and what you spent, line by line, so you can check.
- Technical logs — errors and slow calls, to understand what broke. They delete themselves.
What we do NOT collect
We don’t ask for your name, address, age or phone number. We install no profiling cookies and use no analytics that track you. We never see your card details: payment happens inside Stripe.
Who else sees it
Generating a film requires providers, which means your scene prompts and reference images reach them. That is how the service works, not an extra: without it there is no film.
Some of them are outside the European Union. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep things
Without an active pack your storage is one gigabyte: when it is full the service tells you before you generate — it never deletes anything quietly.
- Your films and files — as long as you have an account. You can delete them at any time from the Library.
- Whole clips before trimming — thirty days alongside the trimmed version, then only the edited one remains.
- Test shots and director notes — seven days, then they clear themselves.
- The credit ledger — kept as long as tax obligations require, even after the account is closed.
If you connect Google Drive or Dropbox
This is optional, and only serves to send finished films where you keep the rest of your work.
On Drive we ask for the narrowest permission that exists, drive.file: we can only see and touch files we created ourselves. The rest of your Drive is invisible to us — we could not read it even if we wanted to. On Dropbox the app lives inside its own folder and never leaves it.
The long-lived permission you give us is stored so that the website cannot read it: no page and no call returns it, and it never reaches the logs. Pressing “Disconnect” deletes it and also revokes it on Google’s or Dropbox’s side.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or object to processing. Write to j.pingo.development@gmail.com: we answer within thirty days.
Deleting your account deletes your films and files. This cannot be undone: download them first.
If you think we are getting it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es), which is the competent authority, or to your own country’s.
When this changes
If something substantial changes — a new provider, one more piece of data — we write it here and update the date at the bottom. Changes affecting data already collected are notified by email.
